5 Quick Shopify CRO Wins You Can Make This Week
You don't always need a complete redesign to improve your Shopify store. Sometimes, a few focused changes can remove friction and help more visitors move easier through the buying process.
1. Make Your Value Proposition Obvious
Upon landing on your website, the visitors should instantly know what you sell, who it’s for, and why they should buy from you.
Instead of: Thoughtfully Made Essentials for Everyday Living
Try: Premium Linen Bedding, Made for Better Sleep
The second version tells shoppers exactly what the product is and the benefit they're getting.
If someone landed on your site for the first time, would they immediately know what you sell?
2. Make Your Add-to-Cart CTA Hard to Miss
Your primary CTA shouldn't compete with everything else on the page.
The more clearly the button communicates the action and value, the less thinking the shopper has to do.
Make sure the CTA is visually prominent to catch the shopper’s attention.

3. Put Social Proof Where People Need It
Don't make customers hunt for reviews.
It would be a better shopping experience if there’s no need to scroll all the way down to find out whether other people actually like the product.
For example, below your product title:

4. Answer the Questions That Cause Hesitation
Shoppers often hesitate because they don't have enough information to feel confident buying.
Look at your buying journey and ask:
"What might make someone hesitate here?"
It could be unclear shipping costs, complicated navigation, missing product information, or a confusing returns policy.
Examples:
Free shipping on orders over $75 Ships within 1–2 business days.

5. Check Your Mobile Experience
A store can look great on desktop and still be frustrating on mobile.
Don't just check whether your website looks good on mobile. Try to shop from it.
For example:
1. Open a product.
2. Find the product information.
3. Select a variant.
4. Add it to cart.
5. Review the cart.
6. Start checkout.
Look for things like:
- Important information pushed too far down
- Buttons that are difficult to tap
- Pop-ups covering the CTA
- Slow-loading images
- Too much scrolling before you can buy
Before You Change Anything...
Don't change five things at once and expect to know what worked.
Start with one or two high-impact improvements, then monitor what happens.
Good CRO isn't about making more changes. It's about making better changes. Not sure where your biggest conversion opportunities are?
A CRO audit can help identify the areas of your Shopify store that are creating friction and where focused improvements can make the biggest difference.
